#GoGrayInMay

May is for May Day, Mother’s Day, Jordy’s Birthday, Jason’s Birthday, softball, baseball, end-of-school, and now it’s also for Brain Tumor Awareness month.

Oh, how we wish we were un-aware.

Still, we are so grateful to kick off this month with good news.

Jason’s tumor continues to respond to treatment! According to this week’s MRI, the tumor is 2mm smaller in all dimensions since his last MRI in February. Woohoo!

I am super happy about the report. Jason is not.

After 10 months of physical and mental torture, 2mm – the size of the tip of a sharp crayon, seems hardly enough to call “good” news.

Celebrating 2mm wins isn’t easy when you feel like a giant loser of the tumor lottery. Yet, we will celebrate. Every day is a gift.

It always has been.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”

Psalm 139:14
